Prepared for the BBQ United team · 16 June 2026 · Sharp Method, with XO Marketing

Turn the front door from a newspaper into the home of BBQ.

Two pages — built, live, and ready to show today — that stop the bounce and turn visitors into members. Lean enough for the budget now, built to grow into the 2027 push.

What we heard

The current site reads like a newspaper, so people land and leave instead of joining the community. You want something that feels like BBQ but premium and modern, closer to the Formula One website than a clichéd American-BBQ look. And the World Cup in Las Vegas, April 2027, is the clock everything is racing toward. So we kept this proposal tight and focused on the two pages that move the needle now: the homepage and the sign-up page.

Your full site audit, yours either way.
A plain-language read of what helps you grow and what holds you back. Generous, no strings.

See it, don't imagine it

We didn't just describe the direction. We built it, in your brand, with the Formula-One-not-Trump-BBQ feel you asked for.

Why these two pages first

Two pages, two jobs: the homepage stops the bounce, the sign-up turns the visitor into a member. That is the whole top of your funnel, fixed first — before spending on anything else.

The homepage stops the bounce.
Evidence: today's hero is plain text on white while your Expo page is full of spectacle; nothing tells a first-time visitor to join, get tickets, or exhibit.
Lead with the $1M World Cup and "join free", bring your real event imagery up front, and make your three worlds (the Pit, the Expo, From the Fire) instantly clear.
The sign-up page turns visitors into members.
Evidence: the site has a ton of information and many different profile types that all need to sign up, with no simple path in.
A role-first flow: a visitor taps who they are (fan, pitmaster, business, judge, creator, promoter) and gets a short, relevant sign-up instead of a wall of forms.
Built on a foundation search engines and social can actually read.
Evidence: every page currently shares one title "BBQ United", with no social previews and no event schema.
Both pages ship with per-page titles, link previews that look like magazine covers, and core Organization + Event markup so Google knows about Vegas 2027.

The lean way to start
